Below, you will find details of the role, key responsibilities, and requirements. ________________________________________ Job Title: Big Data Platform Developer Function: Cybersecurity Practice Reports to: Data Platform Lead ________________________________________ Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, Data Science, or related fields. • Strong proficiency in Python and Java. Minimum Experience: • 4–6 years of experience working with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka. • Hands-on experience with data parsing and transformation of different formats (JSON, CSV, XML). • Strong knowledge of data ingestion frameworks, database systems (SQL & NoSQL), RESTful APIs, and cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP). • Experience in building and maintaining big data pipelines for real-time and batch processing. • Solid understanding of system architecture, distributed systems, and microservices frameworks. • Experience with cleaning, normalizing, and structuring large datasets for analysis. • Familiarity with visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or platform-native visualization capabilities. • Proven ability to generate detailed dashboards and analytical reports. • Strong documentation skills for maintaining technical specifications and development artifacts. • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities. • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities: • Parse and inject large datasets into the big data platform for processing and analysis. • Normalize raw data into structured, clean datasets suitable for visualization and reporting. • Develop and implement visualization techniques to present insights and trends effectively. • Generate comprehensive reports to support decision-making for stakeholders. • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and developers to integrate and optimize datasets. • Contribute to the development, optimization, and maintenance of the big data platform architecture. • Build and automate data pipelines for streamlined and real-time data processing.
