Responsibilities
Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of IT professionals, including developers, analysts, and support staff.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment, ensuring high performance and professional growth.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, set objectives, and provide feedback to team members.
· Project Management:
- Oversee the end-to-end delivery of IT projects related to cards and payments systems, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, product managers, and vendors, to define project requirements and deliverables.
- Manage project risks, issues, & dependencies, ensuring timely resolution & escalation.
· System Development and Maintenance:
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level cards and payments systems, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements to optimize functionality and user experience.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices in payment processing and data security.
· Strategic Planning:
- Work closely with senior management to define the IT roadmap for cards and payments, aligning technology initiatives with business goals.
- Identify emerging trends and technologies in the payments industry, recommending innovative solutions to enhance the bank’s competitive edge.
- Drive the adoption of agile methodologies and DevOps practices to improve delivery efficiency and quality.
· Vendor and Stakeholder Management:
- Manage relationships with third-party vendors, ensuring delivery of products and services.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including business units, risk management, and compliance teams, to ensure alignment on IT priorities and deliverables.
- Negotiate contracts and service level agreements (SLAs) with vendors to ensure cost-effectiveness and operational excellence.
· Compliance and Security:
- Ensure all cards and payments systems comply with relevant regulations, including PCI-DSS, GDPR, and local banking laws.
- Implement robust security measures to protect sensitive customer data and prevent fraud.
- Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities
